I have decided to sell my 1988 bmw m5. It is in excellent condition and is one of the cleanest around...especially in this price range. It has 129k miles and I am asking $34,000. I am somewhat open to trades + cash but would prefer to sell.

walk around, cold start, warm start, idle, and other videos can be found here. https://vid.me/kwoodwo

During my ownership I have done the following:

-Rebuilt brake calipers
-Bilstein adjustables
-H&R springs
-rear shock mounts
-strut bearings
-trailing arm links
-sway bar links
-dog bones/pitman arm
-poly subframe bushings and diff bushings
- water pump
-fan clutch
-clutch slave cylinder
-belts
-hoses
-b&b exhaust
-fuel filter
-spark plugs
-fluid changes (diff, oil, coolant, etc.)

I had a compression test done recently and the engine was strong. each cylinder was above 180 with little variation between the cylinders. It runs very strong and is in very good condition. I have taken the car on a couple long drives to Austin and a few other areas and the car performs flawlessly.

Things the car needs:

1)The a/c has stopped blowing cold. I very rarely drive the car so it has not been on my to-do list. It will obviously need to be looked into though.

2) there are a couple of small dash cracks around the defrost area but are difficult to spot from seating position.

3) there is a small bit of rust around the rear trunk seal. My neighbor owns a body shop and quoted $500-700 to repair perfectly. I am sure you are familiar with it. That is the only bit of rust on the entire car. All of the other common areas are completely rust free (rear bumper mounts, wheel wells, doors, rocker panels, etc.).

4) To my knowledge-all of the windows are original. The windshield has a couple rock chips that are not spreading. I have been hesitant to replace the windshield just because it is original.
