E9x Edition Models - Numbered Plaque

Some news articles say that the 2009 M3 Edition Models come with a numbered plaque. Anyone know where this plaque can be found? I think I have an Edition model in Dakar Yellow. It fits all the descriptions, but I can't seem to find the plaque.

Thanks.

Can you share the link or the source ?

Probably the frozen models and individual cars have a door jamb that says Bmw individual. Lime rocks have a one of 200 plaque near the shifter.
Other than that, there isn't anything else I can think of in the us market.

I'm going to get a "1 of 59,000 (est)" plaque for my E90. Seems legit.

some dipshit car salesman tried to tell me their limerock was #1 of the 200. i politely let him know that they all say that, and the plaque on the center console doesn't represent any specific numbered car in the series.

Oh I was under the impression that it was a specific number on the plaque, not just '1 of xxx'. Oh well.

After much googling, I managed to find this image:

Any idea where that would be located? I checked the door sills and it's not there.

I have a '13 Frozen Edition M3. No special number plaque other than the Individual color tag on the underside of the hood. BMW has record of it being a Frozen Edition, so if I need something done to the car cosmetically, they'll replace the specific parts with the Edition parts (not that there is anything special other than the frozen paint and matching stitching and gloss black bits).

Same here with Individual color under the hood. One of 30 Frozen Grays (build date 6/10) but no plaque.

Would you mind taking a pic of the stickers under the hood and their location as well? I think my car had the bonnet changed before I bought it, there are no stickers under the hood.

No I'm pretty sure mine is number 1 of 200?

Is there a version of this available that includes the E93? I figure it's been 3 years, maybe all the data is available now?

My Edition M3 does not have a plaque. It does have the Individual color stickers on the underside of the hood and trunk. Because the Edition models were only produced from July 2009 to December 2009, I'm not sure how they would be able to have a plaque unless they were only going to produce a specific number of cars. My impression was that BMW built only as many as were ordered (ie if they sold 87, that's all that they made) but I could be wrong. The build sheet for my car lists it as an Edition model built in November 2009 but listed as a 2010 model year vehicle. I have only seen one other E92 M3 in MCB in person.

As an aside, what's the difference from a 2009 Edition Model in MCB vs a 2011 Individual model in the same color?
