F@&king cigarette butts
I think we had a thread on this before but I can't find it so yeah...
Anyway, why do some people think that the world is their trash can? They smoke in their car, shake the ash outside the window, and when they're done, flick the butts on the ground. Today I was sitting outside a coffee shop and this guy was standing nearby smoking and then threw the butt that was still lit on the ground and walked into the shop. Could have at least put the shit out or put it out and throw it in the trash. Few weeks ago we had a heat wave and temps were in the high 90's. The driver in front of me was smoking and flicked his cigarette butt outside the car and I went over it. Beside the fact that it could have gone into my intake, we were driving along a road with lots of dried up wheat and grass. I swear I was about to honk, high beam them but there just too many crazies in the world. I just don't understand how inconsiderate those f@$kers are. Just because you chose to smoke doesn't mean the rest of us should bear the responsibility for it. |

I've had someone flick their butt out and hit my car.....this is in rush hour traffic too,how inconsiderate can one be...
I'm just imagining what this person thinks happens to the cigarette flicked...that it just drops to the ground as if they weren't driving at all: Guess all that lack of oxygen to the brain from smoking clouds judgment. |

I don't throw them out my car though. One time landed and sparked all over high patrol lol. I have a Snapple bottle usually.

My dad has a '60 Corvette and one day we see where some ass put their cig on the top of the fender. Left a burn mark about 1" long. How does somebody do that? At the time the car was 35 years old. I will never get over it or understand. Car still today has original paint and a burn mark.

You know, I only ever noticed this in the States. While I was in Japan, I rarely ever saw a cigarette butt on the ground or even smoking where they would be an issue to others.

That's because Japan is one of the cleanest countries in the world. That and the Japanese are amongst the most considerate people. Americans have that i-don't-care attitude and think that they can do whatever they want without any regards to others.

Vaping is literally water vapour - you can't smell it and it evaporates into thin air virtually immediately. I'm not a smoker and don't use/have either, but I can't see on what planet vaping is WORSE than flicking your cigarette butts onto the ground... Mark

If someone hasn't yet figured out the reasons they shouldn't smoke and is ignorant enough to flick a lit cigarette out the window, it is unlikely they would grasp why doing so is a bad idea even if someone told them.
