Ideal Horsepower for Daily Driver

Whats your ideal HP for a daily driver? What are your standards? Lets assume the car weighs and "average" 3500lbs or so.

For Example: i own a 2000 Toyota Camry and i find myself flooring it to get on the freeway every time. Cars are going about 80mph and my 140hp camry is pretty weak. Passing people, merging, etc is a handfull with it as well. Im thinking around 250-300 (crank) is pretty ideal for a daily?

@under 3300lbs...>600hp. That's pretty much the standard now. Anything less then you might as well drive a Prius.

As a daily driver, LMAO? I guess yes if your daily drive means doing laps around the Nurburgring.

Horsepower is overrated. I'd say anything that has a power level over 1 million should suffice

Are we talking crank or wheel hp?

I'm now at ~350whp on Map3 and ~375whp on Map7, mustang dyno. I think this is "enough" for my M235i as DD.

Like someone stated whp vs crank kinda big difference. For me 300 whp is definitely a hooligan mobile.

350 to 400 for regular vehicle.

500+ for anything really interesting. If it doesn't almost kill you at least once a week, you aren't driving it hard enough.

Seems like a lot of people here feel the need to compensate for something....

As HP increases, penis size decreases. This is a proven scientific ratio.
