If you need a DIY, you probably shouldn't be doing this job yourself.

There are a few threads with some help. The most recent one has links to them all. I think the threads are useful. Most of the work is in getting to the bearings and early threads included some unnecessary steps.

Thanks for your .02 but they really aren't necessary.

Do you have any links to them?

Perhaps he does have the skill to do this and just wants a DIY to reference for peace of mind?

Well then I'm just terribly sorry for warning someone that it's not exactly a "weekend warrior" type of job.

IMO when someone asks for a DIY, they don't know what they're getting into.

Good luck

I like to encourage DIYers. Wish there were more of them. Most of this is not rocket science, but if you have never changed rod bearings before, I recommend you get a friend who has to come help for that part of the job.

Some good advice in the link above as well as links to some other threads in which people DIYed.

Here's my thread, it's not a straight up DIY but it has some links you might find useful:

Feel free to ping me with any specific questions.

I've DIY'd it as well with a friend. As it is not a particularly difficult job, it does require a lift and a solid knowledge of how these cars come apart and go back together. Not to mention give yourself an entire weekend of work if you've never done it.
