Random Issues With New X5
A month ago I purchased a new X5 35i Luxury Line vehicle. I've been experiencing some rather odd problems that I hope are related to the cold weather and the altitude since the dealership is more than two hours away. I live 9,500 feet above sea level.
The head's-up display sometimes doesn't work when the car is started. I've had HUD in my BMWs since 2010 and I've never encountered this problem. The dealership told me to "let the car go to sleep." They're right. It typically works 15 minutes later. That being said, I didn't pay $70 grand to be given this lazy arse answer in a vehicle with a 1,000 miles. The petrol lid randomly opens. I kid you not. I've found it open at least a dozen times and I'm fairly certain it's not do to my own actions. Lastly, the ambient lighting integrated into the passenger side front seat along with the middle lighting on the passenger side back door don't work. I hope these are resolvable problems I can handle myself to avoid taking an entire day to bring a month old car back the dealership. Thank you in advance for your advice. |

That's unfortunate that you're having issues so early on. I definitely feel your pain, as I've been somewhat "plagued" over the last two years with this F15 as well. I'd make a list, which it sounds like you have, and get it back to the dealer ASAP. They should set you up with a vehicle so you're not without transport. Good luck!
