Appreciate the people here...
My lady friend picked up a 3 series last week so I've been scouring the forum for some info. Let me tell ya... the X5/6 forum is like graduate school while the 3 series forum is like dealing with a bunch of 23 year old 6th graders with hormone problems.
Just thought I'd throw out my appreciation to all the adults in here. LOL Carry on... |

I know on some forums everyone is quick to be offended about something or they want to start a fight. Who needs that? Its just nice to share the experience. And if you can learn something (which always seems to be the case with me) or help someone else in some little way, it's a good thing! Last edited by HansRobert; 03-29-2016 at 04:13 PM.. |

So true, I have spent a lot of years on the 3 series forums and e90post is like a pre-school with no teacher, especially as the cars age and value drops, also a lot of spoiled teenagers who's daddy bought them a 328. The other 3 series forum is a bit more adult but less active.
I do agree, the X forum is so much more adult with normal helpful humans creating a community. Rob

Have to admit...I was a part of that "3-series zoo" a few years back. Definitely a difference in the members here and there. Also the fact that the average X5 driver is probably at least 10yrs older than a 3-series driver might help...

You think thats bad. I use to be a regular back in 2000 over on E46fanatics.com and it started out as a tight group of members but slowly turned into sh1t. Now that you can get an E46 for a few grand that forum is mostly young kids all about "stance" and ghetto modifications. Happens to every forum as the car model starts to age and get cheaper to buy used.

Wow, this being our first BMW, I had no idea. I just came to the X section since that's what we bought and started reading and posting. I had no idea things were different elsewhere... Glad I'm here though...

Yea, that's why I don't post in those 2/3/4 series forum.
They think they know better by mastering how to use google. So if you guys have any question on other car, feel free to PM me. I can help also.

For the record be Lexus LX570 forum is as good as this one. Not sure about the other models their however.
If you notice, there is usually a single monitor assigned to this forum. Not the case with other ones on this site. |

I have the perfect build for my circumstances and lifestyle and I wouldn't have gotten the responses and recommendations from any other sub forum. Not one person questioned my taste, my needs or decisions. It's a breath of fresh air. I've been MIA for a few months after coming on strong last summer... but plan to be more active again.
Thanks again, guys. |

I must say my experience here has been great. Good advice and a friendly environment. Surprisingly it feels a little like my work environment where everyone gets a long and tries to push things forward.
Thank you everyone for all your help - I really appreciate it. |

hahaha... a few guys on there are very knowledgeable and helped me out but there definitely are a few oddballs. the discovery crowd are pure enthusiasts through and through and lifers.

I'm sure there are a few nice ones but most questions are answered with sarcasm or not answered at all. My lease is up this year and I'm clueless on what to get and that forum is acting as a Rover deterrent for me!

One thing that I notice for sure on the other forums, if you ask the same question where it has been discussed, it will automatically responded "search".
While over here, they will get a response with a link of the discussion. Another one, if someone ask a question that it is written down in the manual, they will immediately responded, "RTFM!!!". While this forums, we explained and help.
