Tyre pressure valve stem snapped off
Bit of a nightmare managed to snap off one of my tyre valve stems when trying to check tyre pressure!, tyre completely deflated and I had to limp home. Question is it an easy fix or does the tyre have to come off etc ?. Thanks in advance.

Tire needs to come off to replace the valve stem. You'll need to get a replacement BMW TPMS Valve Stem, not the whole TPMS unit. Your dealer should have this in stock, should set you back $25 for the part and $25 for labor.

Thank you for the quick answer, should have guessed it would not be straight forward, getting to the dealer is the issue, tyre is totally flat. Will give them a call.

@6605paull , looks like you are not on a RFT.
If you have the metal/aluminum valve stem, you may want to find out how can that snap off.

If you limped home, implying you drove on a deflated tire, you need new tire also.

Thanks for the replies. Decided to call BMW Emergency Service via the on board BMW connect drive and to be fair they were great. Vehicle recovered and taken to nearest dealer and provided a hire car, all within 2 hours of my call. Cant fault that so well done to BMW
