Special edition 35i?

Saw this at my local dealer, salesperson said it was a "special edition" sent to them by bmw.
Anybody seen one of these before? Looks like a Hawaiian vacation tacked on to me.

Yea I think they just added all the available most performance parts. What wheels are those? Are those the 21's from the x5m?

Since the 19inch wheel/tire is included in the MSport option, are they giving you that set too since you are also paying $4500 for a new set of 21 inch wheels and tires?

I think the upcharge is only $4195 according to the sheet.

And maybe someone ordered this, but didn't want it?

yes looks like every m-performance part has been added, I would wonder also if someone spec'd it this way and then backed out of the deal.

The dealer told me it was sent to the dealership that way. No one ordered it. But I was under the impression dealers picked what cars/options they wanted as stock.

Yes, you get the extra set of wheels too. I asked that. They had one in the cargo area and the rest were inside.

its just your standard 35i with m-sport parts. I didn't take any pics of the complete car.

Interesting to note that the rear m-sport roof spoiler add-on was painted to match car, instead of normal black one.

They have one like that at my dealer too. I was told they were trying to clear out their overstock of M performance parts at the end of last year so they built up a few with everything. Pretty sure they had a 535i done the same way.

I was thinking the same thing. Plus it's a huge profit center for the dealership and factory. I have a solution... drop the prices by 50% and I will buy them. I know I bought an expensive sav, but for appearance pieces IMHO they are too expensive. I wish they simply made them out of plastic like the rest of the front end. Save the carbon fiber stuff for race cars.
