M Performance carbon front splitter and diffuser
I don't even have my X5 50i yet but I'm already planning my modifications!!! Where did you guys purchase your M Performance carbon front splitter and diffuser from? Did you install them yourself or have the dealership install? If you had the dealership install, what was the labor cost if you don't mind me asking? Also, do they come in different trim colors or are they all the same? Thanks in advance to all!

Most people got them from getbmwparts.com as this place usually have the best prices especially during summer and holiday sales promotion.
I installed my front lip myself with the help of Alan's DIY thread here. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1132458 The first post has a link to the pdf instructions from BMW. We used a 3M double sided tape instead of the recommended betalink adhesives. My rear diffuser was installed using the betalink from my dealer because they offered to install it for free if I purchased it from them. OEM parts are carbon fiber except for the rear roof spoiler which is just poly-plastic material. There are aftermarket parts that are also carbon with slightly different weave patterns on ebay. By the way, there is a member who is selling his M Performance Parts on the Owners classified section here http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=516

I purchased my carbon parts from bmw ebay stores, Kelly Bmw and Morristown bmw's ebay stores in particular. I installed my carbon parts myself, following forum member Alan's instructions . I added a reflefective blue 3m pinstriping to the front of the splitter before mounting. I however could never get my carbon spoiler to adhere well/properly and after 3 attempts using 3m vhb tape, went the betalink epoxy route. More wiggle room using epoxy, but as many note it's pretty much on there once it sets. Pm me if you want the contact info for bmw dealership I mentioned above.
