Change Ambient Lighting

Hi guys!
Yesterday I coded "Change Ambient Lighting -Dome"
All lightning just disappeared!
Change Ambient Lighting -Dome
BDC_BODY 3070 GROUP_0_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_1 orange (changed to white)
- Dashboard BDC_BODY 3070 AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_1 orange (changed to violet)
- Door's BDC_BODY 3070 AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_2 orange (changed to yellow)
- Floor's BDC_BODY 3070 AMBIENTE_FARBE_ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_3 orange (changed to green)
I know it is such a strange color combo, but I just wanted to check...

Is anybody coded this successfully?
What should I do? Code everything back?

Is it still dark, even after letting the car sleep? The ambient lighting always goes away when coding certain ECUs, but then comes back after the car sleeps. Happened multiple times last week as I was coding NGHB.
If it hasn't come back, then yes, revert all the coding.

You know that I wrote a complete DIY Thread in this forum with pictures?! ;-)....if you do a search you'll find it. It also explains your situation that Doanster was talking about ;-)

Heh heh. I assumed he/she saw your thread because ambient lighting color change was never previously deciphered on the master coding spreadsheet.

I added it to the master sheet in late January with some other items ;-)

Thank you, PlayTookies.
Lightning is back, but not these colors I put via coding.
I'll do search and I hope it will help. Should I just search our forum with "Ambient lighting" words?

May I PM to you if I'll have any questions?

Where have you been getting all the info for the coding you've been doing lately, Maxipes? Just asking because you've had various issues so far and it may be due to using coding info/values for other car series? Many are probably exactly the same, but I'm sure there are specific differences.

Sure PM me anytime. Happy to help. I started off somewhere as well and was happy that I was not all own my own. Doanster is right though maybe you are missing a piece of info? Either way let me know.

And yeah that guy...oh well...I just gave up at one point...

Doanster, I took it from here
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...9s4/edit#gid=0
Please let me know if there is a better (Update) version.
I didn't go for details yet in PlayTookie's "Ambient lighting" thread, but compare to coding in google list his coding is more detailed.
Am I correct?
Thanks,

That's the right one. I only asked because you had a problem earlier with the auto unlock, but the coding section/value you used was one that wasn't on the cheat sheet. No worries, though. Sounds like you're almost there and will resolve the ambient lighting issues soon. Good luck.

In iDrive in x5 (F15), in lighting section in settings you have 9 different options for the ambient lighting. Is that right? 1. Blue 2. Orange 3. White 4. Orange/white/orange, blue/white/blue and other combos, so there different colors brought together, at least two of them.
So when I coded lighting in Esys I have an option to choose for each group one main color and two others. According explanation in "ambient lighting" thread it choosen main color white and secondary colors are green. After coding all 9 sections I choose main color - blue and secondaries two are the same (yellow/yellow or red/red or green/green) but at the end when I switch color combos in iDrive I have all 3 yellows or all 3 reds or all 3 greens
I guess my question is how to make a combo of 2 colors, lets say white/yellow/white or blue/red/blue or something like that.
I know this is not such an important field of coding, there are much more really helpful and practical. Still curious.
Any help?

Coding Ambient Lighting w/Bimmercode

Hi, thanks for the post. I was able to finally make these changes but can you tell me what layers 4-9 are for? They show as inactive.
When I code the different colors in layers 1-3, it worked just fine, just curious what the other layers are for.
Thank you!!
