BMW's Competition Package for the F80 M3 not only brings increased power and handling abilities, but now includes cosmetic items that were once only available through the aftermarket accessories industry. One of these cosmetic differences is a glossy black trunk emblem - which comes standard on the new F80 M3 with Competition Package.

We at IND had been offering a similar item that was hand painted utilizing an OEM BMW chrome emblem as a core. Our price point was understandably higher than BMW's as we accounted for not only the chrome emblem, but the time and labor invested into creating each emblem. Even with meticulous prep and paintwork, many emblems often do not pass quality control and are ultimately discarded. BMW's Competition Package emblems appear to be molded from a black plastic with a tricolor decal overlay. Emblems are not painted and borders are crisp especially along the edges of the tricolor decal itself.

As BMW's Competition Package emblems exceed our quality standards and are considerably less labor intensive for us to provide to our clients, moving forward IND will only offer our hand painted versions for the F80 M3 in matte or custom colors. Gloss Black orders will be fulfilled using the BMW F80 M3 Competition Package emblems.

The M4 badge is not yet available for purchase from BMW, but should be available soon. We'll list it as soon as BMW begins to sell us the parts!

The competition emblem will not be available on its own. You would need to buy the full M2 competition emblem to get it.
