Fox Red Front and Rear Seats

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Or Best Offer

Item Interest
I have the front and rear fox red seats from an e90 m3 for sale. Great condition. Please let me know if anyone is interested.

New price: As you can see in the discussion below, I initially listed these for sale at $5,000. I knew it was unlikely that they would sell at that price: I was torn on the idea of selling them because I thought I may want them again, but decided I would sell them anyway for a great price. Now that I know I am not planning to go back to stock, I will try to sell these at a more reasonable price. I'm looking for $3,000 not including shipping and paypal fees. I am also open to listening to offers. This is for the seats only (no door cards, armrest, etc.). I also have a headliner for sale if anyone happens to be interested in that.

Interested and I'm in NYC. What's the year and mileage? Heated? Rear foldable? Wear and tear? Pictures? Asking price?

Thanks for the interest guys (didn't know how much there would be, but so far it has been a lot). I'm researching pricing. I'll try to get that settled and post some pictures later today/tonight.

This would be a straight sale (no trade) since I no longer need the seats (track car). However, while at this point I don't want to sell the door panels, I could be convinced, and, in that case, I would need black ones back in trade.

Basic details:
-From a 2008 e90m3 with 65,000 miles
-Great condition (I am very into detailing and kept the leather in great condition)
-Front seats are heated, powered, etc.
-Rear seats fold.

I'll drive to you, buy the seats, trade the doors... Mine are black. I've got 50k on my interior, perfect condition.

Since there is so much demand, set up an auction system like eBay and for those who want it let them bid. Best way to get top dollar.

I will need to bring the front seats up from the basement and use a better camera to get better pictures, but here are some for now. There is a slight blemish on the driver's side outboard bolster that I didn't even notice until looking at them today and that didn't come out in the picture, so I will get a close up picture of that as well.

Are these fox red? Look more like cinnamon. I'm also interested if fox red and if Jupiter doesn't get it.

Definitely fox red.

As for pricing... I honestly had no idea how much these would be worth or if people would be interested, but based on the responses I've received here and on other forums the demand is pretty high. I called a BMW dealership today to price a new set of fox red front and rear seats and was told that it would be approximately $9,000 in parts! Mine aren't new, but they are in great shape. At this point, based on the demand and the cost of the seats new, I think $5,000 is a fair price. I'll gladly listen to offers. However, I have already received offers of $1,500, $2,000, and $2,500, and I turned them down. If it turns out that that is most anyone will offer for the seats, I will just keep them as it is clear that it will be incredibly difficult for me to replace them if I ever change my mind in the future. Let me know what you guys think.

There is clearly much more demand than supply. And, like I said, if it turns out that they are really only worth less than 1/3 of the price of new seats (and maybe they are), then it is simply not worth it to me to sell them. This is why I tried to explain how I determined the price.

Multiple lookey loo pm's don't mean that you're going to get anywhere near $5k. You may get 50 bites but not a single one will likely cross the $3500 mark and that's being generous.
Not trying to criticize you, just helping you be realistic. I also have no desire to acquire FR seats as I dislike them so I am not trying to persuade you to drop the price.
If you need to return the car to stock ever you should put these in storage. It'll be tough to find an FR set in decent condition down the line.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I took some time to determine the price and I mentioned that I did not really know what they would be worth to others (or if anyone would even want them). The cost of the seats new and their likely unavailability in the future lead to the starting price I named. I'm not forcing anyone to buy the seats from me, and perhaps they can find them somewhere else cheaper. But I know that, at least at the moment (when I can't commit to never going back to stock), they are worth more than $3,500 to me.

Right. I have a mint stock M3 steering wheel in my closet right now because I replaced it with the performance alcantara one. The classifieds tells me the wheel is worth 200-250. To buy it new costs a lot more more. The true value to me is between the two so I won't sell it. I'd rather have a wheel to return my car to stock when I sell if in the future rather than exchange it for a nominal sum of money I will not notice come or go.

Fair price is around $2,000. Maybe $2,500. Anything beyond that is ridiculous!!!!

Check prices on the forum and on eBay.

Price of things is what people are willing to pay for..and for that reason I'm out....

I don't see any e90 Fox Red seats for sale on the forum nor on eBay. These are not an easy thing to find. They didn't make that many e90's to begin with and even less had FR interior. I understand the thought process of asking 5k for these. I doubt he'll get that, but I do understand the thought process of coming up with that value for the asking price.

Supply and demand determines the price. I don't see a big supply of e90 FR seats out there.

I actually just bought the fox red E90 interior dogbone was selling for right around the offers you got including professionnal packaging on a palette and shipping across the country, literally.

You are right about them being rare that's for sure but might as well delete the thread if you are asking 5k.

Grey, black or tan interiors could go for about 1500$-2000$, yours being Fox Red could go for a premium so 2000$-2500$. But not double.

I'm happy I found some because this thread would make me mad! Hahaha

What do you guys think would be a fair price for an e92 fox red interior with extended leather dashboard and center console? it also includes the rear console, the carbon leather trim, the EDC / POWER buttons, the CCC idrive controller, the CCC trim, the novillo rear AC... Window buttons..
