2011 Zcp 6mt E90
I am in a no rush to buy looking for my unicorn, so I have been lurking around the forums/ autotrader looking for a clean 35k miles or less e90 ZCP, for the right price. In the past few months i have seen these listed for 55k and some for 42-43 and some even less. Do these cars have a premium on 6 speeds? DCTs are a dime a dozen it seems and I have seen some killer deals, unfortunately I am set on a third pedal, and certain color combos.
I feel like a fair price is 39-43 depending on records mileage etc,... am I crazy thinking this? |

I was planning on listing my E90 for about $43k not too long ago. It's an AW/FR, 6MT, ZCP, EDC, a few other options, and has 37k miles. Well documented history too. That seems to be the going rate for lower mileage ZCP 6MT E90s.
They are definitely rare. The only thing my car is cursed with, is the sunroof, and all the premium stuff. |

Took me almost two years to find an E90 6MT, no sunroof, manual seats, ZCP, 17k miles, AW and cloth seats. It even had a clear bra! My friends call it the "Jalopnik find." Since only 1055 LCI manual E90 M3's were ever built for US/CAN, they are pretty rare!

There was a local (SF Bay Area) E90 6MT ZCP with rare extended beige leather and loaded incl. sunroof last month, 35k miles. Private seller listed it at $43.5k, then lowered to $42.5k, and finally $40k even. It sold about 1-2 weeks after he lowered it to $40k. So there's a good comparable in a pricey local market. Looked to be in pretty good shape, just a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes.

Good luck and please let us know what you end up getting and paying. I'm also looking for ideally the exact same M3 (although I'm waiting until late next year to buy), although going for an '08 and saving ~$10k is tempting as well given it's fundamentally the same car.

A VIN check showed that only 2 M3 sedans were ever built with the specific configuration of the car I just bought. I think the special order strippers especially with ZCP/EDC are super rare. Good luck in your hunt, it's actually part of the fun!

They are definitely tough cars to find if you're picky about options/mileage/color combo, but it's worth it! |
