Liqui-Moly Blackstone Report

Second report I've done, lead went up to 11ppm on LM 10w-60 GT1. Not sure how concerned I should be with a rise in lead count. Wouldn't think 11ppm is something to concern myself with, at least not until my next change and report.

Have others seen a rise in lead ppm with the switch from Castrol to LM?

See attached.

I would put bearings as a to do in your immediate future.

Didn't think the report was bad at all. Why would you say that?

I think it will be a little bit better determination based on my next report. 11pm lead and 2ppm copper is fairly low.

I would not go with LM 10w60... it is a lot thicker than BMW 10w60. It'll only make bearing clearance issues worse.

Stick with the OEM 10w60 or go with something lighter.

OP I've been (as well as many others here..) on LM 10-60 for a long time no and no issues thus far. It's also been proven that these reports aren't definitive! So yes, while it is possible that your bearings are on its way out, there's no real way of knowing!

But nonetheless, good looking report!

Got another 2k miles on this change. Have already had to add a bottle of Twin Power Turbo within 4k miles (since last change).

So I'm running a slight mixture of TPT (OEM) and LM.

how is one of two oils with the same weight rating "a lot thicker" than the other?
