is it possible?

hi guys, i just had deflactor pulley busted, n had it replaced along with belts...but when i crank the car on...spillage of oil going down the floor, and front of engine area are all wet of oil...could it be pulley related? or could the pulley which i found leaning toward the oil line from oil filter housing at the beginning of the problem cut? but by eye inspection, or i ran my finger thru the surface, cant find anything like cut...or could it be anything worst? i lost up to 3 or 4 qt when engine running...
