First oil change and Blackstone report

Completed the first oil change since owning this car, 39,456 miles on the car and according to the service history there was 11,421 miles on the oil in the car. Only about 1000 of that was from me. I plan on changing every 7,500 miles from now on and will start the trend analysis - no rod bearings needed just yet - knock on wood

Nice. As reported, surprising for 11k miles.

Nice report, seems like the 40wt oil is treating your M3 right. Judging by the additive, it's probably not M1 0W40, so I wonder what kind of oil was in the car.

I was getting concerned by all of the rod bearing issues posted on the site so I was pleasantly surprised by the report. I know it doesn't mean I won't have that issue, but it was nice not to see lead and copper numbers through the roof. I was kind of confused by the 40wt oil comment as the maintenance inforamation I have from before I purchased it shows it was done at the dealership so I assumed 10W60 was put in. Perhaps the viscosity had broken down that much over the 11k miles that was on the oil. Anyway, OEM 10W60 is what I put back in. Will have to see what the next report shows in 7k mi or so.

It's definitely not 10W60, because 10W60 would show more titanium and moly.

Pay for TBN and TAN next time -- otherwise the change interval will just be a guess. Based on the above data (without TBN and TAN), a 10k interval is fine.

I suspect it was TWS, which we know shears down to a 40-weight and holds fairly steady.
