It's funny how regular drivers always think drivers who show skill, albeit a little reckless, are terrible drivers. "He nearly hit the pedestrian!" No, actually he was just passing the pedestrian the same way someone driving forward would pass the pedestrian.

Along with age, perhaps the biggest reason I no longer do anything stupid on public roads is because everybody has a camera now. Several times I've had kids pull up next to me at a light or whatever with their phone out, beginning me to peel out or whatever when it goes green so they can film it.
Nope, sorry fellas, I don't need the one time showing up at my door a couple days later when they somehow see the footage. I mean, I don't even speed much anymore (I'm talking like 20mph+ over the limit), because there are so many heroes out there who will catch up to film your plate or something. |

If you're looking at it purely from a technical perspective, maybe one could call this skillful, but in the context of real life this was beyond "a little reckless." End result may have been harmless, but if he plowed into a family, I doubt anybody would be saying this was at all OK.
