Will "comfot mode" help ride quality when lowering the car?

specifically with H&R sport springs; compared to a non-EDC e92 M3.....

To me, and to my butt, it was debatable whether comfort mode helped the ride quality overall. What I mean by that is that while it made the suspension softer, it also made the car "clunkier" over road imperfections. The car would be less harsh, but it would have more bounce and jiggle. I am not sure that this really made the car feel like it had a better ride. The stiffer EDC settings definitely made the car feel more composed.

In the end, I think if your definition of a better ride is SOLELY on the harshness of an initial hit of a bump on the road, then yes, the comfort mode gives a better ride. But if it is also based on how the car behaves AFTER it take s a hit from a road imperfection, then normal or sport may be better overall.

It's kinda hard to explain, I suppose. Am I making sense or no?

Yep, it helps my ride. When I have guests in my car I put it into comfort mode sometimes and it's noticeable.

Comfort is great for slow speeds like around town.
at highway speed the benefit is diminished.
