Noticed that I have more space on one side of my wheel well. Not sure if it's just the design or alignment is off. A buddy of mine noticed it and now it's bugging me. pics attached. They r both the same in each side. Seems like wheel is pushed forward towards the front of the car about 1/4 inch

Isn't this just a difference in caster?
Pictures aren't working by the way.

Check the rear trailing arm. They're made of thin sheet metal and flimsy. It's not a load bearing suspension arm but a nasty curb could bend it easily

Hang a weighted string from the high point of the wheel arch on level ground. The string should pass over the center of the wheel logo cap. Front and rear gaps are not necessarily symmetrical with the wheel, depends on the car's fender design. Since both sides are the same, that is a positive sign as far as damage goes.

Took these pics today. I think there is just more space on the one side where the bumper is

It's fine nothing is bent. There is just more space where the bumper and tire meet

Second owner. No paint work on any panels measured paint with a paint meter. Removed all rear trunk liners. Need to compare with other m3's

I see what you mean. I haven't noticed this on my car but I'll check in the morning and report back. But there's deff more space on one side compared to the other.
