So what is supposed to be in my trunk?

Got a used 09 M3. The trunk was pretty stripped.

From Turner I got all the tools that should be in the right area above the battery. How about under the main trunk floor?

I know the Tire kit should be there, but is there anything else? Seems there's a good amount of space under there.

Haha, I might need winter tires. I usually run summers all year long.

What do you have for rims/tires?

You could spend a fortune on the optional things that go back there. Under the floor is a piece of foam with a air pump and can of fix-a-flat. There is a trunk carpet, plastic trunk liner, the service manual and first aid kit fit in the place over the battery, there is a CD changer on the other side, cargo net, all the tools over the battery, optional cargo hooks and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. You can also save some weight by taking them all out...

At this point I'd really like to get rid of them so don't worry about the asking price on the post if you're interested we can work out a price

Ok, I guess I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing any specific tools like a jack and/or a tire wrench. Cargo net would be nice to have tho

Why are you guys so mean to a rookie? He is just asking.

OP, no spare tire, no jack, no screwdriver set, no cd changer, no carpet. Basically full of nothing. Under the floor you should have a compressor (good for your bike) and some manuals (good to comoensate the fanous 50-50). The other space down there was for the old CCC. You can use it to mount an amp for an extra trunk woofer. I bought a fix a flat tire kit, some plugs, 3 terry towels, cleaning wipes in a zip lock and a manual jack, just in case. I usually don't carry it but I bought a spare tire for longer trips. Don't fill it up too much. You will be needing some room to put your wife in there when she is talking to much on long trips!!!! Lol.

Ok, it sound like I have all the stuff I might need, I'll get one of those fix-a-flat kits and throw that back there too.

Thanks!

I thought we all got spare rod bearings located in the trunk. No? Maybe? Mine is labeled: "Werbung!!!! Only open in event of excessive ticking."

It's does...but they were bad so they recalled those instead of the ones under the hood

In the tool area, all I have is a screwdriver (useful for DCT folks to manually take the car out of Park if the battery is dead) and a tow hook -- and yes, under the floor of the trunk you should have a compressor that consistently reads 4 PSI high and a can of tire sealant that will make repairing that expensive punctured tire infeasible if you use it. BMW has been cutting the tool kit back over the years, even over the production cycle of a single model, but hey, at least they keep using the same tool tray so you can see just how much you're missing!

For further examples of cost cutting, see the vinyl sun visors on more recent model years (formerly leather) and on non-M cars, the open storage tray ahead of the shifter that used to be the ashtray plus power outlet covered by a nice door that the M3s kept.

I have read in several threads that more than a few forum members keep hookers in the trunk...

I have a Audi E-Tron hybrid motor in my trunk. Through a custom differential, it turns my M3 into a AWD car coming out of Tertre Rouge turn into the Mulsanne Straight at La Sarthe

If it weren't for the 2 chicanes, I would be topping 220 mph and boucing off the rev limiter in 8th gear.

954Stealth and Sebringjetta can confirm.

Ok, what the heck are these 3 metal boxes? I'm assuming the ones on the left aren't supposed to be stacked on one another.
There's also two green wires to the top and a little to the right of center that are just hanging there not connected to anything?
And of course there's a the big plastic piece with the fingers on it just hanging there. (Lower middle)
