New //M motor oil... and it's 0W40.
Saw this on the F80 side. I wonder if BMW will approve it for REAL //M engines?

anyone figured out what "twin power turbo" mean? I'd like to hear it from some marketing executive trying to bullshit his way through its meaning.

I'm just mentioning this oil here because many have used Mobil 1 0W40 with the S65 with seemingly good results.
Totally agree, but I'm pretty sure they're referring to twin scroll turbos. I'm sure 90% of the sales staff has no idea what that means.

I learned this when I came to America. In the USA they use turbo as an adjective to describe high power or "extra strength". It doesn't necessarily have to refer to a compressor as the rest of the world knows it. It's marketing BS. That's why in this country you see commercials for toasters or toilet bowl cleaner that is "turbo"

Actually it's quite simple .
For our S65 it's the same oil...same bottle as in OP's pic , but for our S65 it's the SAE 10W60 . So the BMW ///M TWINPOWER TURBO SAE 10W60 .

Correct. I purchased a E9X M3 Maintenance Service Package from Turner Motorsports a few weeks ago, that was "new" BMW recommended oil that was provided. |

I ordered one myself recently from Tischer (GetBmwParts.com) and they still sell the old Castrol 10W60 and the kit for the S65 is about $25-30 (can't remember exact discount) cheaper than the twin power turbo stuff...
