How much do used 220M wheels+tires go for?
As the title states...If I'm selling my original 220M wheels with tires (with 2008 TMPS) what should I be expecting to sell them for?
The wheels aren't in perfect condition. Mild curb rash from a previous owner, so I would honestly rate them as a 6.5/10 or 7/10. I don't have a depth gauge for the tire tread, but they're used regardless. Tires are OEM 245/265 Pilot AS3 I have a buyer lined up, whom I don't suspect to be the enthusiast, but I actually have no idea what to sell them for.... So what do y'all think? What's an honest price? Thank in advance y'all. AP |

It's tricky because I've seen them sell for as low as $500. There's no real demand for these wheels and especially with curbs and old tires if you can get 800 take it and never look back. I think the reason there's no demand is because they aren't really usable in regular e9x 3 series unlike the 219's which are very popular and actually fetch more than the 220's.

did you really have to start a thread on this? jesus man all you had to do was go through the first few pages of the fs section for wheels/tires and take an average. you'd probably start a thread next on how to take an average

Supply and demand. Location plays a big factor too. I am selling some 270M winter wheels and tires right now, and I know I don't stand a chance in selling them in June, but wait until November when it gets cold and German laws start dictating the legal need for snow tires. I gaurantee I will get close to my asking price, especially since they are harder to come by over here.

the amount of time it takes to go into wheel/tire FS section, do a thread search for 220M and do an average would have been shorter than creating a thread and waiting for replies...then sorting through incomplete numbers everyone throws at you and figuring out what number to use.... I'll be useful...OP, here's the link of the presorted 220Ms for sale in the FS section: http://www.m3post.com/forums/search....rchid=39250613

a lot of newer members don't realize on the upper right hand corner of any subforum or thread, there's a "search this forum/thread" link that simply searches the forum or thread you're in, thereby not needed to use the more clunkier "advanced search" feature for all bimmerpost subforums

I know where the search is and how to use it. I just wanted opinions. For all I know, those FS posts could be priced incorrectly! I just wanted a more up to date opinion.
Remember, this is a forum where all are free to ask questions. Don't crucify me just cause I wanted to communicate with others and ask around. |

All I did was go to the wheel/tire fs section and ctrl+f for "220". This was just the first two pages. I'm not sure how much more up to date info you want. Unfortunately you have to use your brain to analyze what is being sold and for how much to gauge a proper price for your set. Best of luck. |

The hundreds of 220M for sale going back to 2008 can't all be priced wrong. If you're buying a super expensive part like a ESS Supercharger or RDSport stroker kit, or some really rare part that's one thing, but OEM wheels is common, and a simple search would have revealed that fact. Again, that's the best source, not some thread like this where you'll only get 1 or 2 opinions, case in point, there's been 19 replies to this thread and only 2 pricing opinions. IMO, I think you were just lazy. There I said it.

There are different personality types in society; some that dig for information and some that say to others: "feed me information". As long as they have sufficient minions, the 'feed me' types seem to do better financially, despite their apparent uselessness. They're called "managers".
