Tire Insurance Rip off?
So my M3 has tire insurance, this is the 2nd time I've been declined a claim and had to pay for the tire out of pocket. The SA told me the tire needs to be 3/32 or greater tread to be covered. This is through safeguard, bought through the dealer.
Is this "normal"? Is there a way around this? My SA is a "by the book" kind of guy, he's not going to make any exceptions. Sucks to have tire insurance, then be out $1100 in tires. What's the point?

There is a minimum that the tire has to be in order to file a claim. I used to get nails in my tires just before hitting those limits when I had a tire warranty in order to break even.

yes, normal policy. btw it's cheaper to buy tire insurance from tirerack and other tire sellers.

I don't think it's not not unreasonable. So fairly reasonable.
