well, if its not too much trouble, could you take pictures of the underside part of one of the seats? most specifically, the brackets?
my office chair took a dump and i want to make these into office chairs... no rush on the pics.

If you are in a weird location with a low concentration of M owners then you have just limited the avaiable audience because these cost me $300-400 to ship. Speed cloth is a very specific request as well. Most owners who have speed cloth chose this option from the factory for whatever reason. Personally I hate leather so that was my reason... so ultimately you are looking for someone like myself who doesnt already have the option. Again, a very small audience. That being said I believe I sold mine for $600 even though I live in Los Angeles (a very high concentration of M owners). I ended up getting the perfect buyer from Illinois who wanted speed cloth and didnt mind paying the bill for $400 shipping cost knowing that the seats were underpriced from a value standpoint. Also, the buyer was not putting these seats in an E92 M3 but rather was putting them in a 1 series I believe. Hope that helps... |

Thanks for the response. I live in the bay area and would assume there's a decent amount of M enthusiasts in the area. I would be willing to ship at buyers expense too. 3-4 for domestic shipping? I have to ship out a set of tires and wheels to Canada at 185 pounds total and its gonna be around 4+? Do these seats weigh that much? Lastly, Did you sell the pair for 6? or a seat? Thanks |

I sold the pair for $600... so $300 a seat. Granted I wanted them gone and was a motivated seller. So all in all the buyer got two seats shipped to him for about $1000. In my opinion that is what the seats are worth without shipping but again I was trying to broaden my audience and the only way to do that is to lower the asking price and offer for them to be shipped. Pricing at $1000 and charging $400 for shipping will limit the buyers you can get dramatically because there are very few people on this forum that will buy used OEM seats for $1400 especially in speed cloth. BTW its not necessarily the weight of the seats that makes shipping costly... its the size of the box as UPS and other shippers calculate weight on a dimensional basis. |

alynM3 I understand the situation you were in. I had to compromise and sell my wheels at a price more open to audiences as well. Thanks for all your input and responses. Much appreciated!
