OEM Alarm upgrades

I've been doing a bit of research on upgrading the factory alarm. I've had several Cliffords in my past and present, and 2 things that the OEM alarm lacks are a shock sensor and a proximity sensor. I found a thread on E90 post about adding the former, but not the latter.

Ordered the shock sensor, I'll probably work on it this weekend if it arrives as scheduled.

I've found a couple dual-zone proximity sensors I'm interested in, so I'll do some research and decide if I think they'll work out. Def. might be of use to the convertible guys.

The E90post thread OP including instructions on how to wire an on/off switch for that sensor for transport/thunderstorms, but since I don't drive my car in the rain, I don't think that'll be applicable. I'll think about it over the next few days, though.
