Tune2Air update best Bluetooth for Idrive
This was just updated from wma200 which had no Y cable and after IOS 8 didn't allow you to control the song and track from the steering wheel.
With wma300 you can see what song is playing on Idrive and control track skipping from your steering wheel. Plus it ships prime. #winwin I have tried BB gateway and The AirPlay enabler and this literally sound better than both and gives you access to more features as it utilizes the Y cable while the others utilize the AUX port only. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00R3A...MuL&ref=plSrch

your link is a little funky:
http://www.amazon.com/ViseeO-WMA3000...iseeo+tune2air also im pretty sure everyone was buying the wma1000 which did everything the y cable did without the y cable. seems like the only difference between the 1000 and 300 is the addition of the y cable at no extra cost. |

Very interesting.. The problem is you lose the bluetooth call functionality because your bluetooth is connected for audio streaming and not calls anymore.

EDIT: Found this review on Amazon I love this thing. I have a 2007 E92 335i. My phone has no issues syncing to both the Tune2Air and the factory Bluetooth at the same time. When I get a call, the current audio pauses and the call picks right up. Nav also intervenes without issue as well. This honestly works so well you would almost think it is OEM. I am using this with my iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.1.

I guess then my concern would be the audio quality.
The y-cable with lightning adapter I tried before sounded like crap. Y-cable to ipod 30-pin worked fine though. Right now, I just copy my songs to an USB drive and play that.

Dang, just got the WMA1000 and it works great, but SAME PRICE for the 3000! It looks like with the 3000 it displays your music library in car, does the 1000 do this also? Edit, it does, keeping the 1000.

I have the WMA1000 and no doubt it's the best solution. It plays nicely with the phone function of the car. If I get a call it plays through the car's bluetooth every time. However if you are using google maps for navigation that audio works only through the Tune2Air unless it is powered off by disconnection. That means while it plays well with navigation audio when playing music through it, it intercepts the navigation audio when using the radio. That is its problem in being a complete solution.
I think a firmware update should cause it to reject navigation audio unless it is being used to play music at that moment. |

I use mine with Spotify. I haven't had a chance to use it too much but I did notice that when it plays songs that are stored locally for offline playback all of the song data appears on iDrive. When I play songs over the internet though, the song info does not display and the back/skip buttons do not work so I still have to use the phone to change songs. This is what I've had to do in my last car which uses a $20 version of this type of adapter. I was hoping the 4x price difference would mean it supports Spotify completely but oh well.

http://www.viseeo.com/ugC_Faq.asp?hidFaqCatID=7 I literally only used mine twice, once in offline mode and once online. I'll play around with it some more when I get my car back from the shop. I did verify that the tune2air firmware is up to date as well. The only thing that could be a little off is that my car is an 09 and has never had any software updates performed. This is one of the things it is in service for right now so maybe everything will work great when I get it back. *crosses fingers*

That's probably why it works. Try streaming music through Spotify instead of storing it locally and see if it still works the same.

Nah, that's not it: the content I only store is from Spotify because I have a plan and sometimes want the play-back feature. I also have Slacker Radio and CC: Stand-Up (no plans) that I stream direct and I can still see artist, song name and song timer.
