towed it to the engineer, and they found out someone put some kind of food in the gas tank.(didnt know but they told me my gas door doesnt lock after locking the car)

the shop quoted me 5200 for the parts + labor + tax.

they told me that i have to replace ----
1. fuel injector ( all 8 of them)
2. fuel rail
3. fuel transfer pump
4. fuel tank gooseneck pipe
5. fuel pump
6. fuel line

but 5200 is kinda too high for a terror happened to me.

i did some research and some people says that the fillter doesnt let things that arent fuel to the engine.

the shop told me that engine doesnt look damaged.

heres my question..!
do i really need to change the injectors also?
do i really need all those parts?

thank you for reading. heres some pic...

I don't know where you are but in the USA you could file an insurance claim for the damages sustained.

so you were driving without insurance?

Sounds like fuel filter did its job and the clogged particles starved the engine of fuel

This is what I would do. DIY if you have a garage and some tools:
The fuel filter i could've blocked further damage, food particles are too big to pass through right?

I would get all food out using some type of contraption, or those grabber thingies at home depot / lowes for $2. Get some of that out, it looks stuck? Or is that liquid? Just get as much of the food out as possible out of the filler neck. Or just screw it and shove the debris into the gas tank.

Drop the fuel tank and clean all the crap out once the filler neck is clear

get a new fuel filter, leave all lines unplugged. Fill with some gas and let it drip into a catch basin. Reinstall everything one the fuel lines are clear

Better than spending $5200 on parts you may not have to replace.

Dropping the gas tank isn't that bad, get a buddy to help you out

yea bought the car about 2weeks ago.. so had the car about 7days driving.

it looked like curry or something since it had soup and rice together.

if i dont change the injector and linning will it be still okay?

Sorry to hear your trouble. That's really sick of some people.

As WingZeroX5 pointed out, you probably won't need to. They are further upstream anyway and are completely separate. You can do the gas tank as suggested by WingZeroX5 first and maybe run some fuel system cleaner. If that doesn't fix it, then you can tackle the injectors and fuel rail in the engine area.

I'd double check your gas door. Mine locks when I lock the car. Maybe take it to another shop and get a second opinion..

i parked my car at home. so that night i came back home around 10:30pm.
and my gf came home so went to car and it was about 12:00.

i saw some foods on my car, so i just thought someone puked.
cleaned the car. couldnt even imagine someone opening the gas door and puking.

the next day mornning i started the car and it stopped.
so i checked the blackbox on my car.

from 10:30 ~ 12:00 only 1car came in.
im sure its that guy whom lives next door.

called the police and they say this video cant be used since it doesnt show that guy puking.

but my apartment is at the end. there is only one way to access the car. that means that guy is the only one who can do such a thing.

to come close to car without coming that way means have to walk threw forest that doesnt make sense.
and even if someone did that my black box would have caught it.

so.. im throwing in sugar and water in this guys gas tank tonight.

So did you do it? Personally, and I know most will disagree, I would do the same damn thing to that guys car. Shit I'd go out of my way to fuck with his car. He will either confront you about it at which point you can play dumb and he'll most likely find himself out. Or keep a close eye on your car to see if he tries to "get back at you". What kind of car does he drive? If its a shit bucket than you bet your sweet pippy it was him, too many haters in this world.

well. his car is too old to have alarm or shit. well that cars not even worth to destroy but if he have some terrible time, thats enuf for me

thinking of drilling his tires but kinda scared if its gonna make loud noise while drilling so thinking of this

some peoples arent gonna understand me
and somes will.

but just bought the car and drove it for about 2week and it happened.
insurance wasnt even transfered yet. so had to pay $3800 just for the repair.

there are many people who has inferiority complex.

Just another view...not saying it's right...

You bought a high end sports car, didn't insure it, don't know who vandalized it, think you know but have no proof, and are now publicly planning your criminal revenge on an automotive forum...does that about sum it up?

Great plan.

OP the guy won't have proof of you fucking with his car either and I highly doubt this would escalate to the point where you would be looking at a felony charge or that he even knows of this threads existence, might not even know about the forum at that. I think you'll be fine especially since you're doing it on your last day living there, the car probably won't be affected unit it drives for a bit and then it'll be another good while before he figures out its sugar in the gas tank. Do what you gotta do man... But hey at the end of the day you decide whether to go through with it or not.

As angry as you are, just remember how it feels having it happened to you... You shouldn't want someone else to feel that way. On top of that, some people are envious, jealous etc. You're blessed to be able to drive the car # 1, and # 2 be able to shell out $ 3,800 for repairs. 20 year old me may have thought diff though, but be rational... Although you posted this on a public forum too, soo....

Wow.. that is horrible.. out of all the ways of messing with someone's car, I wouldn't have thought to puke in their gas tank.
