BMW Remote App became even more useless
As if it was possible, the latest version of the BMW Remote App became even more useless. They had already stripped it from most of its functionality update after update (no more climate control, no more horn or blinker control, no more door unlocking,etc. ), but this one removed the last reason why I opened the app at all. You can no longer search through Google to find a destination and send it to the car. The only thing that you can do now is double click the map and send that position to the car. Hey BMW developers: if I knew where I was going, I probably would need help navigating to my destination!
But you know what the worst part is, the release note for the new update are (purposely) wrong. They mention that the search results are now presented in a list and so on (what search results?). They also show what I imagine are mock-up in their screen captures with all the removed features still in there. Anyway, I just wanted to get all that off my chest. /rant |

Yea. The app is pretty much useless right now. I think there is a similar app called "Send to Car" which costs abut $4. I wonder why they are stripping all this functionality from the app.

the function is still there for the newer model vehicles. It works fine on the X5 but on the m3, you can no longer search which is dumb. I believe it's a programming error and hopefully will be resolved by the next update.

The update from today on iOS fixes the Google Search and Send to Car feature.
