X5 Ordered

Hi,

Just ordered an X5 30d from our local dealer in Adelaide, I expect we'll see it here around April.

I've had a few other beemers in the past, from e90 325, e70 X5, f30 328, 1M and a e92 M3

Also have a 991 911 Carrera S as the weekend toy

I went with a 30d Msport, lumbar, white, black interior, digital radio, seat heating, dab+ tuner, lane change warning, panorama glass roof.

I've been told my build locks in any day now, are there any options I've missed that are worth considering?

I'm looking forward to reading through the coding thread, would like to disable the idrive warning and disable engine stop/start.

Congrats and welcome . A more precise build might help others in assisting you better. Did you get the Adaptive Suspension or DHP? Definitely get one of those suspensions if you can. Surround view is good to have for all kinds of parking scenarios.

Thanks for the reply, the adaptive suspension comes with the MSport Pack in Australia, and surround view is std for the 30d in Aus as well.

I''ll try and get a complete list of the build from the dealer tomorrow so I can re post here.

Garage List
DHP and HUD are my two absolute must-have features. DHP makes the thing a HUGE amount more fun to drive. Once you've driven with HUD, it's hard to go back.

HUD is std on the 30d in Australia. I suspect they load up the cars a bit more these days to compensate somewhat for the large price differential here in Australia compared with other markets. Whilst I didn't go DHP I did get the Adaptive Suspension as part of the MSport Pack.

Thanks!

Here's a pic of it with some friends cars on a trip we did to Melbourne a while ago for the Lambo Huracan launch.

matts325i Congrats!

I would not be without the Connected Drive option - lets you cool/warm the car up, great for sending maps to the car etc. Guess you don't require Aux Heating

Thanks, will take a look at this feature now, yeah it doesn't really get that cold where I am.

Got the 20" rims, they come as part of the MSport pack in Australia.

I never thought about the adaptive speed control much as I tend to overtake anyone who can't sit on a steady speed. Will check it out
