Dealer Service Brake Squeak SIB for M5/M6 SIB 34 06 14
Just got the car back from dealer, they did the Brake Squeak Fix on my 2015 M5, here are pictures. So go ahead and get this done at your dealer. If anyone is around New York City / Long Island, I did this in Rallye, SA is Gianni Marini.
I haven't drive the car for too long, I didn't notice squeaking yet. Honestly, I didn't notice the brake squeaking that often previously, maybe several times, only had the car for 2 months and ~2200 miles so I cannot say how big the difference is. Have a good weekend, stay warm, drive safe Last edited by Nqwjx30; 01-09-2015 at 03:52 PM.. |

Hi Nqwjx30, have you try breaking after the service? Is the squeaking gone?
I am in Canada and have MY14 LCI M5, I called the dealer reference SIB340614, and they couldn't find such service bulletin for my VIN. I called BMW Canada and no luck either, as they couldn't find anything in their system. Is this a US only thing? Do you happen to have the official SIB information in addition to the SIB number? I'm thinking of an BMW USA recall pdf that detail the fix, so I can take it to the dealer. Thanks [QUOTE=Nqwjx30;17198128]Just got the car back from dealer, they did the Brake Squeak Fix on my 2015 M5, here are pictures. So go ahead and get this done at your dealer. Never had brake squeal on my LCI M5 or my M6 GC CP, no noises at all.

That's nice of your dealership, mine knows nothing about this SIB. They said maybe this is a USA only SIB, and started to feed me BS such as "cars made in US are different than cars made in Canada.." I said these M cars are all made in Germany. I'm just surprised they couldn't pull this up for a MY14 car, where as your MY15 has it. The bottom line is I got no help from dealer here, which is upsetting
I noticed another SIB on your photo, SIB340614, is there something wrong with the blutooth?
