Anyone get iOS8 working reliably?

Specifically, audio playback with a USB cable and iPhone 4S. I have a 2011.75 with the latest firmware update (1006) and it works a few times, but at some point it always ends up losing the ability to connect up properly. I can control playback with the phone, but if I try to pause or change tracks with the car controls the connection drops. Powering the phone off and back on seems to fix it for a while but never lasts.
It worked fine for years but Apple must have changed something in iOS8 that interacts badly with BMW and I don't see any new firmware updates.
I've searched this forum backwards and forwards and don't see a resolution.

streaming bluetooth audio from iphone6 is not working properly for me. Tried re-pairing, etc, and still nothing.

Does it work for phone? Did you go into the configure phone screen (right push twice from most bluetooth screens) and make sure audio is enabled? It gets automatically disabled if you try to use USB audio.

Steaming from an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS as of 1/8/15 works flawlessly for me over bluetooth. My car is a 2011.75. I use Spotify and the stock music app.

BTW, bluetooth music works for me, but it has occasional scratchy sound so I prefer USB cable connection.

Yes. Checked all of that... It's a known issue with some iPhone 6 phones apparently.

I have a 2013 M3 with the latest CIC software, and sometimes have my USB Music through beats music abruptly stop. I then click USB again on the CIC, it plays for about 30 secs and stops again. I'm running an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1.2.

Try updating the combox software, there's a known issue BMW claims to have addressed with it. It worked for my car with a combox retrofit and iOS8. You should be able to download it from bmw.com/update then load it into the car via usb.
