Short answer: Not available in USA
Some details: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1054781 This thread has a lot of information on Anti-Dazzle but it's scattered throughout many pages, it's a good thread to read when you have time.: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1033991

As hyde mentioned, it is not. We were unsuccessful MANY times when attempting to figure out numerous codes on getting this to work PROPERLY (meaning without blinding the driver in front of you by creating that shadow box dispersing lights around the car in front). A lot of members were involved in the attempt, but yeah, European hardware just seems the only way it is possible, so US market gets screwed over for such a nice feature.

US: Allows for only High Beam Assistant to be active (5AC). This is your automatic high beams when you push the button on the side stalk. Europe: Allows for High Beam Assistant, Anti-Glare/Anti-Dazzle High Beam (to enable this in US, you have to remove 5AP from your FA, but the problem is that European lights have a different hardware/part number than US so their wiring/whatever allows them to have the shadow that prevents blinding drivers directly in front that are traveling in the same direction as you), and Variable Light Distribution (this however can be coded for US by simply removing 8S4 from your FA and VO Coding BDC_Body).

I read, discuss, and learn from others by searching for their questions. Google is my best friend . The F15 forum is great for learning and discussing everything with each other. Anything I don't know or get wrong is easily corrected by someone else. There's really no limit to knowledge .

I am very impressed with your knowledge too, Opasha!
It's too bad (and strange) that you do not have this light feature in the US. It's really one of my favourite things on the car since i do a lot of night driving. And it really works as the film shows. |

Thanks for your explanation Opasha.
I find it really strange that this feature would be available in places like Europe and the Asia/GCC market where (in many parts) there is very little unlit long stretches of highway and more brightly-lit city freeways. Does anyone know if this features ships out on Canadian models? |
