Castrol Tws sold at O'reilly auto parts

Went to O'Reilly's yesterday to pick up a quart of oil for top off and was surprised to find castrol Tws for 12.99. Just FYI to anybody who doesn't want to pay stealership prices.

Is this the correct Castrol though? I was under the impression that there was 3 Castrol 10W60s.

1. Castrol TWS 10W-60 (Original TWS and Replaced/superseded by #2)
2. Castrol TWS EDGE Professional 10W-60
3. Castrol EDGE Titanium FST 10W-60 (Not approved by BMW) <-- if you google this, the bottle looks identical to the OP except the OP has the words TWS on it.

Castrol is getting very confusing.

I don't know. There are 4+ types of Castrol 10W60 labeling which is confusing in and of itself. I don't understand all the different labeling or if they are different in their composition. Can you?

Meh...sorry for the rant and confusion. Appears to be the same exact stuff. I'd be nice to stick to 1 labeling though.

Wonder if this means Shell 10w-60 will be at BMW dealers going forward?

Saw in at a local O'Rielly's too.
Thanks OP. Now we just need it to go on sale. Still cheaper than the dealer.

I agree.
This flavor, Castrol TWS EDGE Professional 10W-60, has the following written on the label and is why I use it: "BMW recommends Castrol Edge Professional." It's also what my dealer uses.

Yes, but after shipping it's probably about the same. On top of that, you don't have to wait a week to get it. This is very convenient.

Thanks OP

I ended up getting them for $11.88 each. The employee offered to apply his employee discount for buying a case!

Yep, picked up a couple bottles at the Newark, CA location recently. What's funny is that 2 of the 3 locations I visited or called actually denied carrying 10W60, including the one where I picked up the oil hate lazy employees.

Although I guess that's better than Pep Boys or whatever place I checked a long time ago, where the guy denied that 10w60 even existed...

Good find! Unfortunately for me, the nearest O'Reillys is a few hundred miles away.
