Clarification on 2011.75 CIC with Combox
Hi Guys,
I did some research on the forums in regards to my navi system. My m3 I recently picked up is a 2011.75 M3 e90. I have BMW apps and on this car. I saw several threads of CIC retrofits where after, they were able to get on Google and search, etc. Is this BMW Concierge? Just wondering what I would need to enable this. I also read somewhere that an FSC activation code is required. Just trying to see what exactly I need to unlock all the features of my BMW navi system. Thanks and apologize but I probably do not make any sense what so ever which is why I am asking for clarification |

IIRC
You can either pay $200/year for BMW concierge where you get to talk to a live person and they can do things like make reservations, find lodging, etc... activation allows you to use cellular data for Google and net access or Coding...which activates BMW Live or Online (forgot which is the correct term) but you don't have concierge service |

It's more involved than just using FSC code. Maps uses FSC codes and others too, but I don't know off hand. I would contact a coding vendors to code BMW live for you. I tried at one point but it's too involved for me and I don't need it. By the time I get myself around to using the CIC, I could be halfway finding it on my phone
