Does my car need to be serviced?
My car has 57k miles on it right now. I last had the oil changed at 50k so I'm going to have it changed ASAP. My question is, how can I tell if I need any other services? The computer the car says I don't need anything for another year or two but I don't know if that's actually accurate.
Is there any way to know if the break need to be replaced other than looking at the pads and/or receiving the warning light (at that point it would be too late and I'd be rushed). |

For me, generally, if BMW says something is X mileage for inspect/change, I cut that by 2/3. Oil at 5k, tranny oil (lifetime?) at 15k, brake fluid yearly, etc. Take a look at your maintenance recommendation or send an email to Mike Miller at Roundel. He has a recommended maintenance schedule that is fairly comprehensive.
