+2.
Timmis and Hagen have had bullshit campaign adds, nobody states what the fuck they plan to do, rather everything the other person does or will do wrong. I know it's the same everywhere, but that's what some people base their votes off. Great way to shape the nation right? Point out others flaws to gain votes...., lol classy. I don't see any reason to vote, because the peoples voice is never heard, and corruption takes over more times then naught. It's sad. I probably won't next year. I will grant it, nobody has beat my opinion on Kwame yet though. |

If you look under landslide in the dictionary it says "How Governor Cuomo won". Jeesh..
They even had republicans endorsing him on TV.

The county report came in - 35% of registered votors (already on the jury list) took the time to care to vote.
I went to my local polling place at about 5:30. I was voter #44 to put my ballot in the box. There were ~22 provisional ballots on the sheet there. 35% hmmm. Seems to echo the percentage who leave high school with the ability to read/write around here. . . . |

I voted yesterday, as well. I can see how some believe that it really doesn't matter, in the grand scheme of things, but every vote makes a difference, in my opinion. Yeah, certain candidates and amendments I voted for either didn't win or get passed. But at least I voted for what I believed was the right person or right thing. I believe that if literally every eligible voter actually voted the way they truly believe (and not just "the lesser of two evils"), things would be a lot better in our country.
But hey, maybe I'm just being too optimistic. |

Well, for those of you who choose not to vote, you then have no right to complain about what is and/or isn't going on in this country.

I see both sides.
Yeah, if someone lives in CA and tries to vote in the Republican Senator, it is in a way total waste of time. If someone lives in AL and tries to vote in the Democrat Senator, it would be extremely difficult. However, in purple state, YES summation of 5,000 single vote in certain district does matter.

They say every vote counts but when I wrote in Mike Hunt on the ballot, it never showed up on the tv. No, every vote does not count I learned.

I hear quite a few people say that if you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain about what's going on..., well...., not entirely true.
Vote someone in, in hopes that they will at least keep a small fraction of their promises, to find out they are a crook (Kwame for example), run the town into the ground, then vote in the next person in hopes they will at least keep a small fraction of their promises, to find out they are crook. Not to mention your voice is not heard after election day as a citizen, you just turn into a pawn again because you've already fallen into their trap. Unless there is a proposal you are completely passionate about, voting is...., pointless. |
