BMW changed condition based service?

I took my M3 in for its 15K and noticed something I didn't expect - the CBS showing next service in 4200 miles. I did some looking around and apparently BMW has changed its CBS guidelines for all cars, and some "special considerations" for M cars. I always change the oil at about 6000 miles, but from what the computer is reading out I'll be getting them much more frequently.

Anyone else see the same thing? I saw a post here seeming to confirm part of this: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=868291

My car is an extremely late build, one of the last off the line, but I wonder if it applies to all the E9x as an attempt to prevent the bearing issue?

That's only for the new M cars. It was not retroactive to the E9x M3.
