Question 2008 E93 M3 w/o navi :( Possible to retrofit latest & greatest CIC-NBT? / Eonon unit?

Hello all you interior MMI experts! I seek your guidance and suggestions:

Is it possible to retrofit my navi-less 2008 E93 M3 with a full, latest revision of the CIC-NBT (e.g., the latest one to come out on the last MY of the V8 E9X-type M3 [unless it actually never did come with NBT]?)

I know I'd have to perform major surgery / get a ton of parts and some might argue it's not worth it in the end, but I was just curious if this was even possible to do safely and successfully. I think I'm willing to take the dive and spend the money at a shop in the NYC area to do this type of upgrade due to various reasons I rationalized in my head.

If nothing works for my retrofit needs here, I might just have fun and experiment with a company called "Eonon" from Hong Kong - does anyone have experience with them or their products (or related multimedia head units like these - looks like there's a ton of them out there)? Barring the products that are truly low quality from China/HK/Taiwan, I really couldn't give a rat's ass who or what company makes the product, as long as it's a good quality item, I'd buy it without a second thought - so please, no ignorant comments like "it's made in China derpderp"

Here's one of their products on eBay for $378.10. They advertise that it can link up to the CAN bus, meaning it can do lots of car-specific actions? Looks like it only has 6 channels for audio though, so we'd lose some of our speakers in the M3? Wonder if there's a way to hook it up to an aftermarket amp to allow usage of all speakers (I'm also looking to upgrade all of my speakers)?

Not really. Some have hacked it in but doesn't work fully. Cic is really your best bet. Please don't put the eBay garbage in your car. That stuff is utter crap.

For others who might be searching like I was, these guys can do NBT for our E series, apparently.

Hardest part is going to be the wiring/electrical as well as the need for a new dashboard.
