2008 navi question
Hey guys,
I hope someone can answer this question definitly, i have a 2008 m3 with the ccc navi and would like to upgrade to the cic navi. A friend of mine has an 09 328i and i was wondering would this be a do able swap? When playing around with his navi and menu's, there's no M menu but everything thing else seems to be there.. if anyone can shed some light on this subject i'd appreciate it, i know it will need coding to my car but would i need any extra wiring to make it work properly.. thanks Vince

Search CIC retrofit. The features you don't see would be implemented as part of a software install. But this is not a plug and play swap. You'll need someone who can do the required coding and such, and the dealer may be unable to install any software updates on your car from that point on, but I'm not certain on that. Any vendor who offers this service should be able to give you a definitive answer though.

Thanks JPhughan, its nice to see there's still helpful people here..
I've been searching, but its very difficult to get concrete answers on technical things on these posts, as a lot of times the posts go off on a tangent lol

Totally agree. Honestly I'd just contact a vendor who offers this service; I know BPMSport does. They'll be able to tell you exactly what it all entails in terms of parts, effort, software, and cost.
