I love my coffee, and regularly consume it while motoring about. I have had a little splash here or there, so I try to limit my coffee consumption in the car to the times when I have my sealed travel mug.

Otherwise I occasionally have a bottled soda or water in the car, lid on when in the holder, of course.

Regarding food; I have transported food in the car, though nothing greasy. And, on European delivery, I had a couple snacks along for the longer drivers, perhaps a few slices of beef jerkey.

I don't eat in my car and I don't even dare let anyone else think they can. If I don't then they aren't either. I have drank in the car before, but only things like water, Vitamin water or Gatorade, no soft drinks or anything that could spill and become really sticky. Nothing obsessive about that I think, just genuine care and consideration for one's car.

I eat in every car I have owned.

I would eat in a Ferrari, if I owned one. F*ck it.

It is just a car. I get hungry.

I do it. I have leatherette. If I make a woopsie I wipe it off. That's the main reason I got leatherette.

My dad was always a car & car care freak like I am, so I never developed the habit of eating/drinking in cars. The only time I tend to drink is on long trips, which typically have been in rentals.

You should just advise her to put it on the sunroof if you have it.

I regularly hit the drive-thru. either just for a sugary pick me up, or an extra super value combo (ohhh free sugar water what a deal) And usualy I get to work on the soda as soon as I get it. Also I occasionaly snag a flaming hot fry from the bag. But regular eating, no I have too many friends with cars that have that dead french fry smell.

Same here. How else would we be able to survive impromptu, just for the hell of it, 5 hour+ road trips without some In-N-Out Burger?

edit: plus I own a bunch of cleaning supplies. those tend to help out when I make a mess

Gatorade is really sticky if you spill it. But, I'm guessing you get it in one of those no spill bottles.

+1 on the fries!!!

You never get that greasy smell out. Once my father borrowed my Ram 1500 and the next week when I cleaned it out I swear there were at least a whole container of fries below my seat!!!!

not in the 1er!!!

Chewing gum ONLY. My best friend who has the same One'er as I do, smokes in his and always has half liter diet coke bottles in his truck. He will never admit his car is filthy, and I often like to prove he isn't worthy of his car... so if he's reading this the whole world can see how gross your trunk is dude!!!

I guess at least he throws it in the trunk and not the backseat and passenger foot well.

......although, I think I died a little inside when I saw that picture......I was hoping that was the trunk of a buick LaSaber. sad.
