Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #30: Silhouettes
Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #30: Silhouettes
___________________________________________ RULES: 1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome. 2. You must be the person that took the photo. Previous photos are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image. 3. One submission per contest. 4. Images must be no larger than 800px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is under 800px for the poll. 5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost). 6. All images must have a title. 7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture. THEME: The theme is "Silhouettes." I know it's pretty easy to take this kind of shot so I'm interested in seeing what will set your picture apart from the rest. If it evokes an emotion or somehow conveys a message you'll probably be better off! IMPORTANT DATES: Entries must be submitted to this thread no later than Friday February 11th @ 11:59 PST Good luck! Since this is my first one, please discuss the theme and let me know if this is too general or you would like a different theme. Thanks!

Seriously. Let's just call it and move on.
Nice shot, vachss. Way to kill a contest before it gets going.

what constitutes a silhouette? can the object/being be in colour, but not the main point of interest? or does it have to be a black silhouette in the classic sense of a shadow?

I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of photos many people in these forums have shot. Nothing is ever a foregone conclusion.

if you go in to edit your post, look below the text box and there will be a little check box that says "delete post" or something along those lines. this is an easy way to delete a post without having to leave behind a post that says "DELETED"
Edit> after hitting edit, then go and select "go advanced" then the delete post option will be at the top of the screen.... |

I wasn't gonna say anything, but that's the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw it... which is why I asked, just to double-check
