It's actually cow burps that they are concerned about.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Why should I tolerate being called a climate denier and a science denier by someone who owns an over-powered, over-consuming automobile that is essentially in its lowest trim level an economy car? Such a person is saying that my actions are harming the earth for future generations because I am damaging the climate now. My logical response to such a person is, "FU, you start first." Driving an over-powered, over-consuming automobile is evidence their concern is not what they say it is. This is the issue with those who meet in Davos.

From the Enlightenment in the days of Bacon, Descartes, Newton Et Al up until our recent era of 'My Truth", Science has been defined by the Scientific Method. Scientific Method requires a hypothesis to be proven by experimentation that produces repeatable empirical data. Computer modeling fed by selected (one could say cherry picked) data provided by those called scientists whose funding and livelihoods depend on reaching certain acceptable conclusions, or the "overwhelming consensus" of same is not Science as defined by the Scientific Method.
Galileo Galilei was tried and convicted by the Inquisition for the heresy of denying the Geocentric model of the universe, against the overwhelming consensus of learned people of the day that the Earth does not in fact revolve around the sun; we refer to that belief today as "religious dogma". I submit that todays "Climate Science" is indistinguishable from 16th century religious dogma. |
