New to me 2022 750i xDrive

Hey everyone. I’m a new BMW owner and bought a used 2022 BMW 750i. Originally I was looking at purchasing a similar year Mercedes S-Class but once I drove the 750 I fell in love. Because I’m new to the brand what advice do you have and what has been your experience with these beautiful machines? Thanks in advance for your insight.

You have a four year warranty from the date of original purchase. So you should have about two years of warranty coverage left.

Thanks plus I have the CPO AND extended warranty on top of that as well. I knew what I was getting myself into. This is more for the experience.

I've owned two 7-series in the past two decades, my first one was 2000 740i with sport package, one of BMW's ever built 7-series. Drove it for three years with zero issues.

The second one 2016 750ix (which is very similar to yours), what a beautiful machine, drove it for 5 years, drove like a Sharm and was fast like hell and super comfortable. One issue occurred in the fifth year, had to replace the front shocks, I had a leak on the left side and it is always recommended to replace both. My warranty was expired for about six months (Murphy's Law) so it was pretty costly service around $3k CND and was done by an independent BMW shop which I've been using for years. If this was done at BMW dealer, it could've been close to $5k.

So my recommendation is to drive and enjoy this beauty BUT before your extended warranty expires get rid of it... BMW's are not meant to be driven without warranty, great cars but they are costly when a problem occurs. Congrats! By the way, there is a great 7-series forum where you can post all of your questions and get recommendations.

Over here in Germany, outside of the major cities, practically all I see are 20-25-year old BMW, Merc, VW, etc.

Basic maintenance goes a long way.
