S. Florida gas shortage why .. ???
South Florida is scrambling for gas, even 45 mins north of Ft. Lauderdale. Granted, there was a huge storm 4 days ago, but it was 4 DAYS AGO and virtually everything else seems back to "normal".. WTF is going on .. ?

This was published around an hour ago...
https://www.local10.com/news/local/2...south-florida/ "The disruption in gas deliveries has been caused by flooded roads in and out of flooded fuel farms in Port Everglades This has hindered the ability of trucks to make their deliveries. ... Many gas stations are hoping to get more fuel Sunday night or Monday." Last edited by AlpineBoost; 04-16-2023 at 07:29 PM.. |

Haven’t seen an issue in central PB County thus far.
Given the surprising nature of this storm, spot outages aren’t surprising. It’s not like a hurricane, where people and gas stations were topping off in the days leading up to the storm.

I'm in western part of PBC and about 4 miles from Broward line. My wife could only get 87, and only at WAWA. A few chevron, Mobil and others around here are out completely.. We tried like 4 or 5 stations

I’m in Wellington and haven’t seen outages locally through this morning when I went out. The news broadcasts don’t help. People see shortages in the news and run out to get gas, even if they don’t really need it, which exasperates the situation for those who are running low.

I was in NC during the storm and was unaware of any issues getting gas. Went out in the suv today which was practically on empty. Saw a huge ass line at the Wawa that just recently opened. Saw practically no one at other stations so I figured it was all the Wawa freaks still having Wawa fever. Go to a gas station, all the pumps were closed, went to another everything was closed except ethanol free gas which was like $5 or something. Drove by a 3rd that looked to be empty. Drove home, put suv in garage, took model 3. Fuck that shit. Someone let me know when it's over.

Finally reached us in Wellington last night. Gas station nearby had regular unleaded but no super, which seems like the opposite of news reports.

I’m so glad I’m hiding up in Indiana currently. Maybe by the time I get back down there things will go back to normal. But then again, nothing is ever normal in Dade County.
