If the 2015 Model S is till in great condition in 7 years (aprox 17.000 per year), then, that Corolla, at 300k, based on the same mileage per year should be around 17 years and that pretty damn good. And yes, it will easily last that much. I had two Toyotas that lasted trouble free and still sold them good after 8-10 years. I actually believe that based on the quality and poor fit an finish Tesla is well known for, it will not even last that long. Did I mention that you buy at least three Toyotas with the Tesla money? Secondly, BMWs are not totaled at 200k. I believe that youa re in the wrong forum. BMW builds some of the strongest chassis IN THE WORLD in terms of stiffness and is the king of the anticorosive body with 12 years warranty. Secondly, any car, if you don’t take care of it, will not last. I also own a 11 yo X1 and is like new. Literaly. Mechanicaly, interior and body wise the car is mint and I will never let it go. When I look at Tesla fit and finish, body lines and materials I can not stop laughing and also wondering how people don’t see what I see… What a terrible assembly of parts that is! In the end, comparing BMW with Tesla si like comparing a Rolex with a Seiko. Tesla will never match the engineering, quality, and german fit and finish. Forget about enineering; there is no engineering in a Tesla and in any electric car actually. Engineering is an M5 engine, not a 9v battery and an electric motor… |

Typical California….
….and if you don't "do it yourself," they'll just shut off your air conditioning through SCE, SDG&E, etc. |

Hardly anyone thinks of cradle to grave life cycle costs end to end. (Environmental impact of mining, car production, infrastructure build/upgrades, end of life disposal, recycling facilities etc.) The best thing you could do for the environment is to maintain and drive your current ICE car into the ground. That's not trendy or hip though…

This would NEVER happen if we adopted more EVs, right? |

That wasn't a statement by any definition of the word. I'm sure you're not that dense. It's a straw man aimed at someone you feel is doing something EV related which you don't like. It's OK but at least own up to it.

I said what I said - do you want me to go further than what I have already laid out or what?
