The one that gets me all the time is people not knowing the a/an before the next word.

Then there are words that are spelt the same, but context alters the pronunciation. For example, reading - as in read a book, and Reading - a town near London, pronounced “redding”, and the we have all those silent letters, and English county names such as “Gloucestershire”, which is pronounced “Glostershire” - I have heard that pronounced many interesting ways. We don’t make it easy for ourselves or visitors do we!

My mother was agnostic and my father was dyslexic.

I'm still trying to figure out if there's a dog.

'Sound it out'.
Bullshit. Much of the American English language you' can't spell as it sounds. But that fits and makes total sense. We left in spite but had no idea how to survive without oversight. So just copy/paste. Oops there is one sticky key on the ttypewrittter.
