Definitely not my car but saw this when I decided to stop at the BMW dealer in Savannah to get a “Drivetrain Malfunction” warning checked in my F83 4 hours into my 10 hour drive. Beautiful car.

I don't see a lot of E28 love so here's a photo of my very first BMW, a 1988 528e 5-speed manual.

No horsepower to speak of (125hp as I remember) but it was a blast to drive. I kept it for 10 years and then my son took it over for another 10 years. Remarkable car.

No, that's my daughter. I also participate in the "You know you are old when..." thread. One of the key signs of being old is posting the same thing twice and not knowing! Thanks for the reminder. Now, let's see if I remember.

Here's a photo of my son with the 528e. He borrowed it for the prom. At that time, he had no idea it would become his ride for 10 years.

Thanks for sharing the story. It's great that BMW Classic cars bring back old memories and even better with a photo

Nice E28! Do you have recent pictures of it now? That will look so good on some custom BBSs!
