I don't see what the big deal is? (Without fulling this thread up with a million pics) I think they made more changes then BMW when going from the F01 > G11 7er, F10 > G30 5er, F15 > G05 X5, etc.

I don't mind the changes, actually quite pleased as the NX was better looking than the RX, just surprised as their design changes in the last few years were more radical than conservative. Didn't expect that from Lexus.

Their current design is already a departure from from the 90s and early 2000s. Not sure how much more of a crazier design they can get away with. I also think with all the negative feedback from the 4th gen Prius and 1st gen Mirai Toyota is taking a step back from fugliest in order to not repeat past sins and to not go down the Acura's Bird Beak road.

True, there's not much more room to add creases and design elements left

At this point they have created their own image for themselves and identity with the spindle grill, so I guess they don't really need to try so hard anymore, they can just refine what they have.
