Not to head off track, but there is no way you can call an electric car a turbo (or a computer or most of the other 80's trash bearing the title). Porsche, of all companies, should know this - they brought us the "Turbo". Might even be worse than calling that Ford a 'mustang'.
And sensatec kicks ass compared to that plastic-coated "real leather" (Dakota leather is as real as Hollywood teeth, boobs, and hair). |

I feel like if you are a "watch person" then a fake one would bother you. It's the principle of it about something you happen to care about.
For people like me who believe they are designed to see how much they can convince a human to spend on a bracelet that tells time, then we don't care - but also won't wear one - real or fake. So like fake M badge drivers - it comes down to a market of people who don't have deep pockets, but for some reason want to make people think they do. I think most humans are a waste of oxygen, so I really don't care what 99.9% of them think - so I'm probably the wrong guy to care. LOL =) #jerklife4eva

The question I always ask is why buy a fake rolex for $500 when you can get a real nice tag heuer for $800... I know which one i'd rather have and at least I don't have to fake my way around...
...FWIW... I also have a real rolex though lol. I don't get the fake mentality, I really don't. |

Like I said earlier, I have a fake ceramic Daytona because I still haven't gotten the call to buy a real one. I love the look of the watch and want to wear one. If I want to impress someone, I can pick from my collection of real watches.

I also bought a fake Patek Philippe Nautilus to see if I wanted to drop $40k for the real thing. Didn't do much for me so I never went after the real thing.
I wear my Casio G-Shock 99% of the time, though. It's real.

I'm fine with imitation as long as it's not pretending to be something else. Vinyl siding is called vinyl and not imitation wood siding. Margarine is not real butter. Composite decking isn't pretending to be wood either. If anything it's more expensive.
But I hate fake wood. I have them in one of my vehicle and I detest it. They're better off using the real stuff or just colored plastic. If it's badged as a Rolekques I'm fine with that. But it's using the same moniker, same symbol and everything. You don't see cover bands calling themselves the Beatles or the Led Zeppelin. For certain they will be sued and it's just not the same. |

I have a genuine Breitling, and a fake Rolex Daytona. The Rolex Daytona is a very good replica. I can’t tell a damn bit of difference, it keeps great time and is now eight years old, and the metal parts of both colors show no fading or discoloration. I get more comments on the Rolex Daytona when I wear it, no one has ever asked me if it’s fake. If they did , I would tell them yes, I don’t care.
Then again, I don’t wear either one of them much anymore, as I retired and went to an Apple Watch 6. It’s supplies so much damn information, I’m addicted…

It doesn't matter how you want to interpret your reasons or how much justification you have. Fakes are for frauds. Allow folks that can afford the real deal to have their shine.

Wearing a cheap watch is not a fraud. However this woman clearly is.
